The official opening of the new Scotts Valley branch of Wells Fargo Bank created a stir among locals on Friday afternoon.

An authentic stagecoach was the main attraction. Visitors were also treated to face painting, balloons, ice cream and a live radio broadcast by local radio station KPIG.

A small Wells Fargo office inside Safeway on Mt. Hermon Road has been open for several years. The new, larger branch opened in mid-March after Wells Fargo bought Coast Commercial Bank.
