It will be the first time DeLoreans are featured at the show, organized for the past 15 years by Scotts Valley Peace Officers Association to benefit local school and youth programs.
The DeLorean, manufactured with unusual gullwing doors in 1981 and ’82, was the brainchild of auto industry executive John DeLorean. The company went bankrupt, however, and about 6,000 of the cars are thought to exist today.
Except for the DeLoreans, the show is limited to 1980 and older models. The show usually has 150 or more entries.
Also scheduled are demonstrations by police dogs, fire rescue groups and others, gravity drag races at 11:30 a.m., arrival of a police or medical helicopter and a barbecue lunch.
