Golf is a frustrating game, even for some of the best athletes in the world, but Julie Inkster has made it look easy during her 25-year career on the LPGA tour.

Julie Inkster drives a ball off the tee on the first hole at Pasatiemp Golf and Country Club while some Scotts Valley High golf team members admire her precise swing.

“That’s the hardest part, getting out of a funk,” said Inkster to more than 40 high school golfers, coaches, parents and onlookers at Pasatiempo Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon. “I’m just searching for that one good shot to get me going.”

Inkster and Kay Cockerill , a former U.S. Amateur champion and LPGA vet who now reports for the Golf Channel, visited Inkster’s home course of Pasatiempo for a demonstration and question and answer session on Sept. 17.

Scotts Valley and San Lorenzo Valley High players and coaches were in attendance for the two hour session.
