SLV Citizens Organized for Responsible Ecology, whose primary role has been fighting development of the Felton meadow on Graham Hill Road, is taking a different direction Saturday, Sept. 20. Members have joined in partnership with Save Our Shores to remove junk and garbage from the San Lorenzo River riparian corridor. It’s part of Coastal Cleanup Day, which concentrates on the county’s beaches. Residents will meet at 9 a.m. at Covered Bridge Park in Felton, wearing work clothes and gloves.
