The Scotts Valley school board will conduct a community forum on Tuesday, Oct. 7, to hear from residents about the need for facility improvements. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Scotts Valley Middle School pavilion, 7 Bean Creek Road.
Trustees said they are looking for input as they search for alternatives in the wake of the failure of Measure Q, the $55 million bond issue. The board had placed the measure on the June ballot despite pleas from residents for a smaller bond issue on the November ballot.
School officials will outline the state of the district’s school buildings. Afterward, public comments will be heard.
