Susan (Pevy) Grassi was a Ben Lomond resident from 1966 to 1978. She was room-mother for my Quail Hollow kindergarten class in 1967-68 (Mrs Buckner's class) and never stopped helping out around the school. Many of my brother Mike's friends from the 1968-71 SLV basketball team hung out around our house and my mom enjoyed feeding them food from her kitchen. In 1970 she built a home on Glen Arbor Road in Ben Lomomd. She helped kids with their reading when we were in 3rd grade (Mrs. Becker's class) and was later president of the Cougar Club while my sister Sherry (class of 74) attended SLV. One year (I think it was 1973 or 74)she was in charge of the Cougar Club's big variety show 'Cougar Capers' that featured songs and scenes from Rogers & Hammerstein musicals. She was a great mom to me & was a second mom to many of my friends. She was a great friend to many. In 1975, she and her friend Pat Parich opened Scotts Valley Antiques. She loved crafts and ceramics and painting. She had many friends in the San Lorenzo Valley. You may remember her. She was my mom and she is greatly missed.
