Sheriff’s detectives using search dogs discovered the decomposed body of a man Wednesday, Oct. 1, in the area of Redwood Glen Camp between Glenwood Drive and Bean Creek Road.
They were searching the area after a hiker found a skull near there Tuesday afternoon, according to Lt. Phil Wowak.
The victim, believed to be in his late teens to mid-20s with dark hair, had no identification, and officials are checking missing-person reports. The body was wearing a ring described by Wowak as “distinctive.” An autopsy is being scheduled.
Anyone with information about the find is asked to call detectives at 454-2311 or the anonymous tip line at 454-2847.
