I have known Brian Sanford for many years, working with him and observing his work in several different volunteer capacities in the San Lorenzo Valley School District.
I’ve always been impressed with the energy, integrity and good sense he has brought to the challenging issues which face our schools. His devotion to supporting the schools in being up to the task of educating his children in difficult financial times ultimately benefited all of our children. His ability to understand all sides of an issue is also an invaluable skill in contentious times.
Sanford’s understanding of the complex issues facing California education is vital. He understands the system as a parent who has worked in many different capacities and from different angles with teachers, staff and administrators as well as other parents. This knowledge helps guide his decisions on the county board. Additionally, he uses his work skills to analyze issues, communicate his understanding to others, and help people reach consensus where there is disagreement.
It’s no surprise that he was appointed to his current position on the board of education and has received the endorsements of school board members, teachers and administrators in the San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley.
I urge local residents to vote for him so he can continue to work for us at the county level.
