Men’s soccer

The Bethany men’s soccer team lost to Menlo College in overtime, 3-2, on Oct. 2. Alfredo Martinez and Gabriel Cassaro scored for the Bruins.

The team has a 1-2 record within the California Pacific Conference and a 3-4 record overall. The Bruins are in fifth place in the Cal Pac.

The team next plays at Skypark at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, against William Jessup University. The men will travel to Simpson University on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Women’s soccer

The women’s soccer team fell 4-0 to Menlo on Oct. 2. The loss gives the team a 1-2 record in conference and an overall record of 1-4-1.

The team’s next game will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Skypark against William Jessup. The Bruins will travel to Redding on Tuesday to play Simpson.


The women’s volleyball team recently had a match against Menlo, a four-game loss, before claiming a victory against Pacific Union in three games. Bethany volleyball is in fourth place in the conference standings with a 2-2 record.

The team will play at Simpson on Saturday, Oct. 9, followed by a home match at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, against local rival UC Santa Cruz.

Cross country

The cross country team will run in the Vanguard Invitational in Modesto on Saturday, Oct. 9.
