The third annual Trees for Schools Christmas tree lot will open Friday, Nov. 27, at the corner of Scotts Valley and Disc drives.

Christmas trees, wreaths, crystal ornaments and more will be sold, with 100 percent of the profits going to the Scotts Valley Educational Foundation.

The lot is completely staffed by volunteers from the community — parents, students and employees of the schools and district.

In two years, the lot has raised about $33,000 for Scotts Valley Schools by way of the foundation.

The lot will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, with a visit from Santa. It will remain open from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, 4 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
