Do you think Measure K, parcel tax for schools, would have passed if seniors had to pay the tax burden? Is it legal to omit a group of voters from paying the tax but have them be included in the vote? Although our schools may need more funding, I have not heard of carving out a special interest group from the tax consequences of a public measure.

Probably not. Why make them pay for it? We all benefit from a better society so I though we were all supposed to pay for it. Why make seniors pay for it? That's absurd. They can't afford it. Many are struggling to get by. We should help our seniors not saddle them with tax burdens. Where did you get that idea?
