EDITOR,

We suppose it is no surprise that Bruce McPherson has been appearing at local events and knocking on doors, showing how he now cares about the San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley because he is running for office.

This recent interest is in stark contrast to Eric Hammer's concern. We support Eric for 5th District supervisor because he has a true commitment to community that we respect. It has been lifelong and hands-on. He has worked for local nonprofits, for our business community, for our parks and schools, for folks in need — motivating people to come together to solve problems and improve our lives. He is smart and well organized — a real leader.

Eric is the one to vote for in this election, and we encourage your readers to do so.

Jay and Mabel Baker, Boulder Creek

Before the campaign started not once did I ever see Eric Hammer at a business event, community happening, in my neighborhood, advocating for us, not once.

My Scotts Valley friends at the start of the campaign said "Eric who?"

So please. Be real Jay and Mabel. Campaign season is when they campaign. Trying to paint your candidate in one false light then trying to paint the other candidate in a false light is just silly and a waste of time.

COmpletely disingenuous.
