Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office
1:03 a.m.: Deputies found a woman who was on probation for a felony conviction at the intersection of Highways 9 and 236 and determined that she was in possession of methamphetamine and pepper spray, both violations of her probation terms. Deputies arrested her.
3:32 p.m.: Responding to a report of a woman behaving strangely, deputies arrested a woman on the 13100 block of Central Avenue in Boulder Creek after determining that she was under the influence of drugs. She was also allegedly carrying two glass pipes, typically used to smoke methamphetamine.
7:20 p.m.: Deputies arrested a man on the 5500 block of Washington Way in Felton after a resident reported that the man kept sleeping inside his parked car on the property and urinating in the street. The deputies arrested him on suspicion of being under the influence of marijuana and prescription drugs.
4:05 p.m.: A woman was arrested at Ben Lomond Market, 9440 Mill St., where employees detained her when she allegedly tried to pass a check linked to a closed account. The sheriff’s office had documented three incidents allegedly involving the same woman writing bad checks at other businesses, totaling $667.94. She was arrested at the scene when her bank confirmed that the account was inactive.
Scotts Valley Police Department
5:59 a.m.: A resident of an apartment complex on Scotts Valley Drive reported that someone had stolen a locked bicycle during the night.
8:41 a.m.: A purse containing $300 in cash, two debit cards, a driver’s license, and a smartphone was reported stolen from inside an unlocked vehicle parked on Bethany Drive.
7:25 a.m.: Two iPods and a portable DVD player were reported stolen from inside two unlocked parked vehicles on Tabor Drive.
11:36 a.m.: Someone reported that $70 in singles was stolen from inside a locked parked vehicle on Sunridge Drive.
8:50 a.m.: A GPS device and a gym bag containing a hair dryer and dirty clothes was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Navigator Drive.
9:02 a.m.: A woman called police reporting that two young men were running down Blueberry Drive with bags in their hands. When the woman arrived home, she discovered that her home had been burglarized.
1:27 p.m.: City public works staff members reported that someone had vandalized the display cabinet at Scotts Valley Senior Center, 370 Kings Village Road.
9:20 a.m.: Two passengers aboard a bus were reportedly injured when the bus struck two stopped vehicles at the intersection of Mount Hermon and Kings Village roads.
