A Scotts Valley/San Lorenzo Valley under-19 co-d soccer team will wear their “Register to vote” soccer jerseys and offer voter registration in front of a Scotts Valley grocery store tonight.

Today, Monday, Oct. 22, is the final day to register to vote before the Nov. 6 Presidential General election.

The soccer team will be in front of Safeway at 253 Mount Hermon Road today from 6 to 8 p.m. to register voters.

The team is coached by Alan Okamura of Scotts Valley and sponsored by the County Clerk’s Office.

Voters who cannot make it in Scotts Valley may register until midnight at the County Clerk’s Office, 701 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz, or in Watsonville at city hall, 250 Main Street.

To be eligible to register and vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by November 6, 2012 and not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
