The San Lorenzo Valley Core Math Program just received a large donation from the SLV Foundation For Education to purchase Chromebooks for two high school math classes. The state of California has mandated that core subject testing will only be given with electronic devices.
The new math program is more student-parent friendly. By using Chromebooks, the program provides tutorial help that can be viewed online while doing homework. The SLVUSD has very limited funds to provide this exciting, new technology and it doesn’t qualify for special funds.
On a brighter note SLV School District was one step ahead of the demand because last summer Jeff Kitts the IT director worked diligently with his crew to install up-to-date wifi at all five campuses so they are ready for this technological step, the only in the county like this.
The SLVFFE would like to ask the community to match these funds. This technology will help the SLVUSD students of our wonderful valley in a very positive way! To donate please go to our website www.slvffe.org.
