EDITOR,

To the community of Scotts Valley, the time has come for our family to leave Scotts Valley. Some of you may remember my arrival with the situation about me hanging a NZ flag and getting a letter of complaint about doing so. Anyway, I am writing to say thank-you to the community of Scotts Valley. Scotts Valley is a great base for you to travel places, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, L.A., Napa and so on. The sunshine is great, and there is a fantastic quality of organic local produce.  It has a great school called Vine Hill, and Elite Martial Arts is a place my son will truly miss.

But it is the people in the community who have made my stay here a true joy. Many of you have opened up your lives and your hearts to let me and my family in, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am writing this to remind you, the people of Scotts Valley, to remember to enjoy and appreciate what you here in this community.
