Letter: Help out a new nonprofit

EDITOR,
My name is Curtis Beliford. I was born and raised in Louisiana. I am the guy who has collected items at the town clock and delivered them to New Orleans. With generous help from the community, we made 13 trips since 2005. The people of New Orleans are very grateful.
I am the founder of the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization called Follow Your Heart Action Network. July was my last trip, and since then, we set up headquarters in Santa Cruz to help the people of our own county. We have been delivering donated items to field workers, low-income apartments and the Loaves and Fishes Kitchen.
I thought I was done going to New Orleans, but now there are some people who want to make another trip in December — a Christmas run. I would like to know if anyone else out there would be interested in joining this convoy on a journey of kindness. People helping people is the answer.
