A winter storm that struck Santa Cruz County on Sunday night has continued Wednesday with heavy rainfall and blustery winds that have caused trees to fall like matchsticks.
Roads are closed at various locations in the San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley as trees fall across the road and powerlines.

**Highway 35 at Bear Creek Road in Boulder Creek is down to one lane because of a mud slide.
**3:45 p.m. The evacuation order was lifted from Felton Grove and residents were free to return to their homes.
**3 p.m. A tree and wires fell on Gail Drive in FELTON.
**1:30 p.m. Water in the flooded streets of Felton Grove has ebbed back into the San Lorenzo River. Residents are returning to their homes. Some never left.
**11:00 a.m. The Felton Grove neighborhood in FELTON was evacuated with concern of flooding. The San Lorenzo River is at 17 feet and rising causing concern that it may overflow its banks into the neighborhood behind the Covered Bridge Park.
**10:44 a.m. Numerous wires are reported down on Bean Creek Road in SCOTTS VALLEY near McKenzie Creek Road.
**A wire is hanging into the roadway on Granite Creek Road at Celeste Way in SCOTTS VALLEY.
**10:08 a.m. Southbound Highway 17 is blocked by a rock and mudslide near the summit.
**9:45 a.m. A tree fell taking down wires in the area of Lompico Road and Carrol Avenue in LOMPICO.
**Alba Road is closed at Sunny Patch Road in BEN LOMOND.
**Bear Creek Road at Summit Road in BOULDER CREEK is closed with a tree down in the roadway.
**A tree fell on East Zayante Road in FELTON accross from Redwood Camp closing the road on Tuesday afternoon. PG&E is on scene Wednesday working on the downed lines.
**Empire Grade Road is closed at Vick Drive in BONNY DOON with a tree and wires down.
**Love Creek Road at Vineland Road in BEN LOMOND is closed with wires down in the roadway.
