Harbor High’s Cory McElyea won the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League tournament with a 3-over-par 73, but Scotts Valley High School’s Sam Jackson qualified for an at-large berth in the Central Coast Section championship by winning a pitch-and-putt contest in near-darkness after surviving a four-way tie for eighth place. He shot 88.
The CCS match will be played May 10 or 11 in Carmel.
