Shooting clinic in Boulder Creek set
Renowned basketball shooting instructor Tom Nordland is hosting a two-day clinic at the Boulder Creek Recreation Center this weekend.
Nordland has coached everyone from beginners to NBA and WNBA players in his SWISH shooting technique. The clinic is Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, from 1 to 4 p.m.

SV police to carry the torch
Continuing their annual tradition, members of the Scotts Valley Police Department will carry Special Olympics torches through the city this month. On June 19 at about 2:20 p.m., police personnel will receive the torch from members of the Santa Cruz County District Attorney’s Office at the Scotts Valley Hilton and make their way along Mt. Hermon Road, up Scotts Valley Drive and to the city limits.
