EDITOR,
Big kudos to Scotts Valley High School and all the staff involved in organizing the Rachel Joy Scott “Chain Reaction: A Call to a Compassionate Revolution” assembly at the high school and middle school.
Rachel Scott was the first student killed at Columbine High School in 1999. Rachel exemplified small acts of kindness and professed compassion for others. Her short but influential life and message were spread to the entire student body.
The assembly had such an impact on the student body that they are going to start a kindness and compassion club in response to Rachel’s Challenge and pledge to rid their own lives and school of prejudice. Thank you, Scotts Valley High School!
