Free preschool for qualifying families
Redwood Mountain Child Development Center is registering students for free preschool classes for families that are eligible based on income. The classes are funded by the state.
Classes run daily from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the San Lorenzo Valley High School campus, 7103-A Highway 9, in Felton.

Financial seminar in Felton
Carole Rose, a master practitioner of neurolinguistic programming, will share a presentation titled “Break Through Your Financial Ceiling” on Dec. 16 at Satellite Telework Center in Felton.
Participants will be given tools to identify and change their limitations based on beliefs about how much money they must earn.
Rose was born with a deformed arm, married at 14 and was a welfare mother at 16. She overcame a lack of education and low self-esteem to become a successful real estate broker, sales trainer, award-winning general contractor and motivational speaker.
The free workshop will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 16.
Wellness on a budget
Balance Health of Ben Lomond will offer a class next week, “Self-care and Wellness on a Budget,” to discuss affordable techniques, therapies and treatments.
The course will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Balance Health, 231 Main St., in Ben Lomond.
Dr. Amy Solomon and Jeffrey Compton will also offer a quit-smoking course at 7 p.m. Dec. 13. The cost is $50.
