Billie Gerardi

A memorial will be Sunday, Jan. 2, for longtime Felton resident Billie Gerardi, who died at her home the day after Christmas. She was 96.
Mrs. Gerardi was born Nov. 13, 1914, in San Francisco in 1914. Both her parents were musicians, and as a child, she provided the voice of a girl on a weekly radio show. She became a dancer and singer and, in the 1930s, drove herself cross-country to New York, where she worked several years as an entertainer.
She later returned to San Francisco, where she opened a millinery shop. After she married Enzio Gerardi, the couple moved to Felton in the late 1960s, where Mrs. Gerardi became a realtor and helped many local families purchase their homes.
Her husband, Enzio Gerardi, and daughter, Connie, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gerardi was a longtime member of Felton Presbyterian Church. A memorial at the church, 6090 Highway 9, will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday.
