EDITOR,
With all the scrutiny the Woodside Housing development is getting, residents would expect this to be an award winner! Unfortunately, its primary goal is clearly to maximize square-footage profits at the expense of the community.
The future question is, will we all be proud of this, or will we regret it? As a resident, I think the council should nay this proposal. The developer should be encouraged to submit a new design, one that requires no exceptions to our plans and codes. In fact, the developer should be raising the bar on excellence by exceeding our expectations, rather than subverting our guidelines.
