Financial adviser honored by magazine
Financial adviser Edward Jones was named to Fortune Magazine’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, the 12th year it’s received the honor. The firm has more than 12,000 employees. Locally, Zachary Brown and Cheryl Rebottaro have Edward Jones offices in Scotts Valley, and Bob Fuller has an office in Felton.
Motorcycle company expands
Scotts Valley-based Zero Motorcycles announced last week that it will open a new motorcycle manufacturing plant that will more than double the company’s capacity.
The addition brings Zero’s total production space to 34,000 square feet. It is supported by a redevelopment grant from the city of Scotts Valley.
“Since the inception of Zero Motorcycles, Santa Cruz County has been our home. With many companies looking outside of the U.S. to develop and build their products, we are proud to say we are continuing our support of our local community,” said Gene Banman, CEO of Zero Motorcycles, in a prepared statement.
The company plans to add 25 employees by mid-2011 .
Flooring business welcomes new face
Felton-based Russell Hardwood floors announced in January that Justin Russell will take over marketing and sales for the family business. The company was founded in 1981 by Michael J. Russell, who died in 1999.
The company also has a new website, www.russellhardwoodfloors.com, and will offer a 15 percent discount through tax day, April 15.
