EDITOR,
I would like to comment on the very tardy notice I got from Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in the mail today regarding a public hearing about the San Bruno disaster in San Francisco tonight. It is obvious from the late arrival of this notification PG&E does not want public comment or participation in their public humiliation. They have not been willing to accept responsibility for their shoddy workmanship or the ensuing disaster and have attempted to cover their tracks, as they always do. A company installs smart meters in Capitola against the citizens’ wishes and smugly offers a monthly fee. These people are a monopoly out of control. PG&E and their management are brutally and negligently responsible for the killing of residents of San Bruno and covering up their inept management. Management should be held personally, criminally and financially responsible for this. There can be no better warning how PG&E would treat their ratepayers in a nuclear disaster. We’re watching it now.
