Scotts Valley Freshman Thomas Flebbe Tees off at the SCCAL finals at Pasatiempo golf course

Scotts Valley High freshman Colton Marshall led the valley golfers at the Santa Cruz County Athletic League finals at Pasatiempo Golf Course on Tuesday, May 3. Marshall shot a 97 on the 18 hole course and finished No. 6 overall behind Harbor Highs Matt Imel, who shot a 7-over-par 77 on the day to win the SCCAL title.
Marshall and teammate Thomas Flebbe, also a freshman at Scotts Valley, earned the right to represent the Falcons in the tournament with their combined season scores being top on their team.
Flebbe finished with a score of 118 at the finals,
The regular season league champions, Aptos and Harbor (tied at 11-1 each during the regular season), sent their full teams to the tournament, while all other teams in the league were entitled to send only two representatives.
Only one San Lorenzo Valley player competed in the final. Dan Herrera finished with a 106 on the challenging course.
St. Francis High golfers Will Burkett scored an 87 and Matt Devogelaere scored 95 to wrap up at-large bids to the Central Coast Section tournament
Both players will advance to CCS along with the Harbor and Aptos teams. The CCS tournament will be held at the Rancho Canãda Golf Course in Carmel Valley on May 10 and 11.
