Highlights: Giants’ Mitchell Gaspar doubled and walked, Owen Rockow singled twice and drove in two runs, Carson Spence had two ground rule doubles, walked, and three RBIs, Cooper Rains singled and walked twice, Anthony Locatelli singled twice and A. J. Streller singled three times and doubled.
Rangers 3, Cardinals 0
Highlights: Rangers’ pitcher Travis Lane fanned five in three shutout innings while reliever Robert Riemer struck out nine in three innings, Riemer was 2-for-2 with a walk, Lane was 3-for-3, John Marshall had a double while Daniel Shamshoin, Eli Bjorklund, and Conor Santos each singled. Cardinals’ Gregory Neiger and Nic Alvarez each had two hits.
Rangers 9, Rays 0
Highlights: Rangers’ starter Travis Lane struck out six in 4 1/3 innings, Jonathan Steen struck out four of the six hitters he faced in relief, Steen homered, doubled and singled, Lane was 2-for-2 with a walk and hit-by-pitch and scored twice, Robert Riemer had two hits and scored three runs, Daniel Shamshoian had two hits while Jaya Parisi and John Marshall each singled.
AAA Division
Astros 10, Cubs 7
Highlights: Astros’ Ryan Bariteau, Garrett Fisher and Bryce Gunderson struck out 13 batters in six innings, Arturo Miranda doubled and singled with three RBIs, and Trevor Wiechmann, Ramon Nunez, Zachary DelMar, and Mackinley Coffey each singled.
Braves 13, Phillies 1
Highlights: Braves’ Garrett Hormel pitched the first four innings for the Braves, striking out 10, while Erik Olson struck out three over the final two frames, Hormel and Brody Affolter each scored three runs on two hits, while Brenden Hite and Brendan Magee each scored twice. Phillies’ Zane Fuller and Kyle Smith each had two hits and Ambrose Johnson reach base twice.
