Traffic delays are expected on Graham Hill Road between Treetop Drive and Henry Cowell Drive south of Felton for four months starting late next week and running through Oct. 30. Santa Cruz County is installing a 10-inch sewer main along the road.
Programmable signs warning of road work will be in place on Graham Hill Road and Sims Road at least 48 hours before the closure and at least one lane will be open at all times, county engineer Geoffrey Padget said.
Roads affected by the delays include Graham Hill and Sims roads, Nepenthe and Henry Cowell drives and Treetop Lane.
The sewer pipe will be used to replace a failing treatment plant that serves the Rolling Woods housing development by transporting waste directly to the Santa Cruz city wastewater plant.
