Photography studio sets grand opening
Jesse Gabriel Photography and the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new portrait studio from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25.
The studio’s new address is 5610-C Scotts Valley Drive in Scotts Valley.

iPad training class on hand
Local Apple products specialist Doreen Lozano will offer a training class for the iPad 1 and 2 on Aug. 24 at Satellite Telework Center in Felton.
Lozano will begin with an overview of the iPad’s features and then cover applications, e-mail, use of the address book and calendar, surfing the Web and more. She will also demonstrate how to sync data between the iPad and computer, along with other topics.
The class is part lecture and part hands-on workshop using participants’ own iPads. Cost is $50 per person.
Lozano has more than 25 years’ experience in technical support and consulting and has worked in Apple retail, teaching customers how to use the company’s products.
