Northbound Highway 9 has been re-opened as of 3:30 p.m. However, traffic is still very slow
A fire at a structure at the south end of Boulder Creek has caused law enforcement to close Highway 9 in both directions this afternoon.
A fire, at what appears to be a home at 12585 Highway 9, has already brought in eight fire vehicles and a host of law enforcement.
As of 1:35 p.m., fire crews have asked that the roadway be closed to through traffic near the SLV Museum at the southern entrance to Boulder Creek.
The owner of the home, a women, was not home at the time, but a man in a wheelchair was rescued from the house. He was near the scene without any major injuries.
