Letter: Thoughts on Scotts Valley

EDITOR,
I want to congratulate the city of Scotts Valley for maintaining the median strips on Scotts Valley Drive and Mount Hermon Road so well. There is always something colorful in bloom along the Scotts Valley Drive section.
I am happy to share Glenwood Drive with bikers and hikers. However, I would suggest for their safety they always wear brightly colored clothing. If they are in dark clothes, it can be almost impossible for a motorist to see them among the sunlight and shadows on that road. There have been too many near misses.
I recently visited the new Scotts Valley library. I was impressed and hope that anyone with too many books and a lack of space will consider donating to fill the shelves at the new library.
