Le Strange, the local rock tribute band voted the local favorite by San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley readers, will headline the final Music at Skypark concert of 2011.
“A tribute to all that rocks” concludes the final free summer music series Sunday, Sept. 25, at Skypark in Scotts Valley.
The concert series has been hosted by the Scotts Valley Kiwanis and the Scotts Valley Educational Foundation to benefit music programs at Scotts Valley’s public schools.
Le Strange, a rock cover band that plays everything from Stevie Nicks to Aerosmith, Tommy Petty and Keith Richards, delivers an energetic show with many classic songs rarely played by anyone but the original artists.
The band is made up of Scotts Valley resident Cindy Stone on keyboard and vocals; Donna Seda on vocals; Vince Sanchez on the drums; Etienne Franc playing bass and vocals; and Bret Mars on guitar and vocals.
San Lorenzo Valley-based My Stupid Brother opens the show at 3:30 p.m.
The September concert is the fourth and final one of the 2011 season, the second year of the Music at Skypark series. In August, about 900 people attended the free admission show. Proceeds from food and alcohol sales benefit area schools.
