**Midnight: A woman sustained minor injuries after she reportedly jumped from a moving vehicle on the 2900 block of Pine Flat Road in Bonny Doon, fearing sexual assault, after the man she was riding with asked her for oral sex. The driver did not stop, and she walked to a nearby home for help.
**3:58 a.m.: A man fled a home on the 13100 block of Junction Avenue in Boulder Creek after the owners caught him taking items from their garage and confronted him.

**Midnight: A man was arrested on the 100 block of Higgins Drive in Felton after someone reported a single gunshot. The man claimed that he had fired a round into the ground in an attempt to teach his girlfriend how to use the shotgun. He was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a negligent manner.
**10:30 p.m.: Deputies helped Scotts Valley police arrest of two men riding in a vehicle on the 100 block of Southwood Drive in Scotts Valley. Each man had a restraining order against the other, and both are reported to have smelled of marijuana and alcohol. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and violating a restraining order, while the passenger was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order and his probation.

**8:35 a.m.: A woman on the 7300 block of Hihn Road in Ben Lomond wanted to press charges of battery against a man after he allegedly grabbed a cigarette out of her hand because she was smoking in front of her 2-year-old daughter.

**1:34 a.m.: A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on southbound Highway 17 near the Mount Hermon Road exit after he was spotted weaving in his lane.

**12:54 p.m.: A 21-year-old man driving a vehicle that was not his was arrested after an alleged hit-and-run incident at the intersection of Scotts Valley Drive and Erba Lane.

**5:27 p.m.: A resident of the 4000 block of Granite Creek Road reported that someone had stolen a “No Smart Meter” sign from her front yard.
Sept. 12
**12:33 a.m.: A driver was cited for possession of a methamphetamine pipe during a traffic stop on southbound Highway 17 near the Granite Creek Drive exit. The driver was released.
**11:13 a.m.: Personal hygiene products worth more than $450 were reportedly shoplifted from Nob Hill Foods, 222 Mount Hermon Road.

**11:27 a.m.: A 24-year-old man was arrested after his vehicle nearly struck an on-duty Scotts Valley police officer near Summit Road on southbound Highway 17. He was pursued by a CHP officer after passing by at a high speed. The man reportedly swerved into the northbound lanes to pass other vehicles before returning to the southbound lane. He also struck several vehicles as he drove down the middle of the two lanes. He was apprehended near Vine Hill Road.
