EDITOR,
In response to Paul Taylor’s letter in the March 9 issue (“Changes on the horizon,” Letters, Page 6), I would like to say a few things. First, Mr. Taylor, what I read in your letter sounds like socialism. Looking into the future may see these things come to pass, but looking into the past you will see freedom (which is not a dirty word).
Also, most of your ideas of a modern society make no sense. Are you going to limit fish to one egg per family? How about hamsters, birds, raccoons and skunks? I didn’t think so. These species, like us, naturally have more than a single offspring when healthy.
Hopefully, our government will not try to impose these things on us. These choices should be just that: choices for each citizen to make on their own — to choose yes, or no.
