Softball league playoffs slated

Summer league playoffs begin next week in the in the IOOF/San Lorenzo Valley adult softball league at Highlands Park.
In the first round of the coed recreational league postseason, the Steelheads play the Sharks at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14, followed by the Mountain Mechanics vs. the Vagabonds at 6:45 p.m.
In the coed recreational B-league, the Outlaws play the Coyotes at 5:30 p.m., and the Icy Hot play the Bad News Bears at 6:45 p.m.
Championship games will be Aug. 18.
Men’s A- and B-league first-round playoff games are set for Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 5:30 and 6:45 p.m.
In the B-league, the Mountain Mechanics play the Sharks in the first game, and Reason Construction plays the Outlaws in the second game.
As of press time, the playoff matchups had not been determined in the A-league. However, RW All-Stars, Woodpeckers, Scarborough and Flingers appear to have made the playoffs.
Championship games will begin Aug. 19.
