Mary L. Tufft
Nov. 23, 1923 — Aug. 31, 2012
Services will be held next weekend for longtime Felton resident Mary Tufft, who died Aug. 31 at her home in Felton. She was 86.
Mrs. Tufft was born in Santa Ana, Texas, and worked as a nurse at Children’s Hospital Oakland. She retired in 1980 and moved to Felton, where she was a devoted member of Felton Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Tufft enjoyed flowers, birds and sewing.
She is survived by her three daughters, Caroline Dalton of Alameda, Linda Wright of Felton and Mary Jane Whitehead of Washington; siblings, Oma Faye Benken of Texas and Patricia Duncan and Luther Dalton, both of  New Mexico; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Tufft was preceded in death by her husband, James David Tufft, who died in 2002.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 15 at Felton Presbyterian Church, 6090 Highway 9, in Felton. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.scmemorial.com.
