Baymonte Christian School’s Landon Fernald, 6, brought in the most sponsorship money for the school’s annual Tech Trek fundraiser and earned the right to be principal for a day.
Landon, a first-grader in Lisa Poston’s class, met his personal goal to raise $1,000 and got to spend Thursday, Sept. 27, with Principal Steve Patterson.
Dressed as Patterson, Landon handed out Payday candy bars to all the teachers and took a field trip with the principal to Canepa Design in Scotts Valley.
His class also won first place for collecting the most sponsorships and received a Jamba Juice party for their efforts.
The Tech Trek 5-kilometer and 1-kilometer runs will take place Oct. 13, a Saturday, at Baymonte.
