Tiki King celebrates second anniversary
Tiki King’s Ukuleles of Felton will celebrate its second anniversary on Friday, Nov. 23 with live music and refreshments.
The store, owned by Pat “Tiki King” Baron sells ukuleles, handmade jewelry, purses, aloha shirts, original artwork and more.
The celebration, featuring music from Jamie Kelly Curtis, The Blank Tapes, Kim Luke and the Henrys, will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the shop, 6235 Highway 9, Ste. B, in Felton. For information: 704-7027 or www.ukulelesoffelton.com.
 
Financial firm helps with library fundraising
Members of the Scotts Valley Modern Woodmen of American chapter helped Friends of Scotts Valley Library raise $13,500 for work on the new patio behind the library.
The Sept. 22 Party in the Library included dinner, auction, raffle, art and more to raise money for the library.
Modern Woodmen matched $2,500 raised the night of the party through the organization’s Matching Fund program. Modern Woodmen, represented in Scotts Valley by Stephen Hoversten, sells life insurance, annuity and investment products with a goal of contributing to its members and the local community.
