SLVHS seeks director proposals for musical
San Lorenzo Valley High School is seeking proposals from aspiring directors for its 2014 Winter Musical. Proposal presentations will be heard at the Tuesday, June 11 meeting of the SLVHS Drama Boosters. The meeting will be held at the staff room of SLV High School, 7105 Highway 9 in Felton, at 6:30 p.m.

Valley Women’s Club announces Community Grants awardees
The Valley Women’s Club’s recently announced that the organization would present six grants to local organizations through its pilot Community Grants program. The goal of the program is to support and strengthen local organizations that work for the benefit of the San Lorenzo Valley and its community. Seven thousand dollars of funds divided between Mountain Community Resources, the Ben Lomond Fire Protection District, South Street Centre Boulder Creek, the Lompico Community Center, the Mountain Parks Foundation, and the San Lorenzo Valley Historical Society.
SLV Water District announces data collection and restoration grants
The San Lorenzo Valley Water District announced that it is will be accepting applications for its Education Program’s 2013 Data Collection/Restoration grants.
A total of $10,000 is allocated toward two projects – one concerning species populations within sandhills communities and the other to develop a plan to combat invasive broom species in the Olympia Watershed.
