Nonprofit dental center receives $1M construction loan
Dientes Community Dental Care received a $1 million low-interest construction loan from Dignity Health, the parent company of Dominican Hospital. The loan will help its clinic expansion project in Santa Cruz.
The loan will allow Dientes to break ground later this year on a new facility that will allow them to double the number of patients they see each year. Dientes serves a population at, or below the poverty line and is one of only several clinics to accept Medi-Cal and also offers a low-cost sliding scale for income-eligible patients.
The clinic continues to solicit money to complete its $3 million capital campaign.
