The headstone of an infant who died in the 1930s was recently found in a Felton yard while a family was clearing brush on their property and a local historian seeks help in identifying the infants remaining family.
The headstone is for Bobbie Lee Rice, a baby born Oct. 21, 1930 who died several months later on December 1, 1930.
Felton realtor and amateur historian Vicki Wees was contacted by the family who found it, and seeks to locate anyone related to the infant.
Wees said there was a David Rice, who in 1922 was co-owner of the Felton Grove Auto Camp. However, Wees said, the headstone was not found in Felton Grove. She declined to say the exact location of the find, because the family that found it wishes to maintain their privacy and to be able to verify the location if someone does come forward.
