Free weight-management classes
More than half of adult women are overweight, and more than a third are obese in the United States, according to the American Obesity Association.
In an effort to combat these statistics, Curves of Felton offers a series of free weight-management classes.
The 30-Day Diet Plan program teaches methods for raising metabolism and losing weight, based on research from the Exercise and Sport Nutrition Laboratory at Texas A&M University.
Classes offer topics on smart grocery shopping, emotional eating and choosing the right carbohydrates.
