A memorial service will be held in Aptos next weekend for Cora Bell Kramer Bell who died at home in Scotts Valley. She was 102.
Born in Bridgeville, Penn. to Peter and Alice Kramer, Mrs. Bell spent her early years in Pennsylvania, then Arizona, San Mateo before settling in Santa Cruz County in 1975.
She worked as a nurse’s assistant and ER Administrator at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City for 22 years.
She was a member of the Felton Presbyterian Church and Twin Lakes Church in Aptos.
She liked all arts and crafts, painting, Scrabble, and enjoyed all time spent with family. She believed laughter was the secret to life and was known by her grandchildren as GrGr (The Greatest Grandma).
Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter, Carole Brown and her husband Butch of Scotts Valley; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren and a large extended family back East.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bell; son Harold Bell; a grandson and her daughter daughter-in-law, Patty.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9 at Twin Lakes Church, 2701 Cabrillo College Drive in Aptos with a reception to follow.
