A memorial service will be held Saturday for former Felton resident Anthony Edward Ferreria who died in San Diego. He was 44.
Born in Hayward, Mr. Ferreria grew up primarily in Felton. He had an affinity for spiritual things and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 4, 1991 and he spent many years in faithful service to his God, Jehovah.
Mr. Ferreria sustained a major burn injury on a construction site and dealt with the effects the remainder of his life. He served many years as a full-time pioneer minister, a ministerial servant, and as a Regional Building Committee volunteer.
He moved to San Diego in 1996 and developed close friendships in the Pacific Beach Congregation.
Mr. Ferreria was known by friends to be tenderhearted, especially toward children and animals.
He is survived by his mother Sharon West of Felton; sisters Rebecca Ann West and Virginia Elizabeth Furtado of New York; three nephews, five nieces and a grand-niece.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5761 Valley Drive in Felton.
