Dwight Herr

A memorial service is set for Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, for longtime Scotts Valley resident Dwight Herr, who passed away on June 20, 2014. He was 73.
Herr, who was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, lived in Scotts Valley for 34 years. During that time, he served as the Chief County Counsel of Santa Cruz County from 1983 to 2000.
During his free time, he enjoyed singing with the Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus, playing golf, as well as participating as a member of GateWay Bible Church.
Herr is survived by his wife, Laureen Herr of Scotts Valley; his son, Roger Herr of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and daughter Leilani Macy of Rocklin, Calif.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. at High Street Community Church, 850 High Street in Santa Cruz.
