Tazuko “Taz” Siciliano
December 13, 1930 to October 2, 2014
Friends and family will gather in Vacaville on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 to say farewell to a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and beautiful friend, Tazuko Siciliano, who passed away at her daughter’s home in Felton on Oct. 2.
Born in Japan, she grew up during WWII, and was sometimes pulled from school to work in a factory and on a farm.
Moving to the United States in 1956, she was a resident of Vacaville for more than 40 years. She worked in restaurants for many years and was a familiar face at Pietro’s No. 1 in Vacaville.
Taz led an active retirement gardening, practicing yoga at the senior center, traveling and always taking care of her many close friends, her two daughters, and her twin grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Arline; daughter Cathy Lemeshewsky; son-in-law Eric Brown; and her grandchildren Nami and Noah.
She also leaves behind stepchildren: Alan and Janice Siciliano; her sister, Sachiko Mishima of Izumo, Japan, sons-in-law Koichi Sano and Rob Mack and dear friend, Kathy Bleasdale.
