Graveside services will be Oct. 24 for Harold William Colldeweih, 88, who died Oct. 2.
Mr. Colldeweih was born in Livermore. He married Dolores Dellann Dixon in 1941 where they lived in San Francisco. Mr. Colldeweih served in the Marines in World War II from 1943 to 1945. He was stationed in San Diego and deployed to the South Pacific. After an honorable discharge, he lived and worked for Sears in San Francisco.
In 1963, Mr. Colldeweih moved his family to Felton. He worked for Sears in San Jose until his retirement in 1986.
He served as the president of the San Lorenzo Valley Lions Club in 1979-80. Friends said he loved walks in the redwoods and at the ocean. He loved all animals, especially dogs.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Colldeweih, who died in 1975; son, David Colldeweih in 1992; and longtime companion, Juanita Richardson.
Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. at Felton Cemetery, 555 Felton Empire Grade Road, followed by a reception at Felton Community Hall, 6191 Highway 9.
