The Scotts Valley Fire Protection District (SVFPD) Board of Directors honored Captain Mike Pasquini and Battalion Chief Tim Theilen with proclamations recognizing their thirty years of service, at their monthly board meeting, a press release stated.
Pasquini and Theilen both began their fire service careers as volunteer firefighters on Nov. 17, 1984.
Pasquini became a paid firefighter on Aug. 5, 1985, and was promoted to Driver/Operator in 1988 and Captain in 1990.
Theilen became a paid firefighter on Jan. 1, 1988, and was promoted to Driver/Operator in 1991, Captain in 2001 and Battalion Chief in 2002.
They join five other current fire district employees with 30 years of service: Battalion Chiefs Jim Delucchi and Ron Whittle, and Captains Pete Stelling, John Crivello, and Butch Theilen.
SVFPD provides year-round fire protection services, including paramedic services, to the City of Scotts Valley and much of the surrounding areas.
