SLV/SV boys win District II Cup championship
The Scotts Valley/San Lorenzo Valley Quakes, who are sponsored by Mountain Mechanics of Boulder Creek, competed in the District II Cup Champions for the 12U Boys division in the recent regional soccer tournament.
Representing the No. 1 seed from their bracket, the Quakes played a hard fought, championship match against South San Francisco.
After 59 minutes, the Quakes scored the lone goal and held on for the 1-0 win.
Representing the Quakes were: Kincaid Johnson, Casey Crouch, Riley Van Wickle, Weber Stemm, Andrew Gudnason, Duncan Milrad, Lukas Obrecht, Noah Brown, Sina Besharat, Eli Riddle, Jackson Fletcher, Giovanni Marcondes, Lucas Hede, and Colin Sprague. They are coached by Jim Crouch, managed by Eric Johnson, and Steve Van Wickle is the head trainer.
